The Christina County Board of Health has confirmed that one employee and one resident at the Hickory Estates of Taylorville, an assisted living facility located at 1091 E 1500 North Rd.

According to WICS, News Channel 20 the facility is currently working with the health department and the Christian-Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.

Additionally, facility's residents and employees are all being tested for the COVID-19 virus.

Even though there are currently only 2 confirmed case, IDPH still defines the situation as an outbreak since the residents are in the highest risk category for catching the disease.
