Annual SHG Car Wash Gets Some Extra Help

Every year, the kids in the SHG Key Club hold an annual car wash to help raise money to purchase turkeys and pans for their Thanksgiving food drive.

On Saturday, when the kids were busy washing cars at the Ace Hardware at 1600 Wabash Ave, they got a little extra help.

King's Deluxe Mobile Car Wash showed up with a worker to give the kids instructions on how to wash cars correctly, along with what News Channel 20 described as a reward for doing a good deed.

The kids washed cars for $5 if tickets were purchased in advance or $10 if purchased on Saturday.
