Former Taylorville Resident Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

Taylorville Police, Illinois State Police, and the U.S. Marshals Service executed a search warrant for 64-year-old Robert T. Tobin in the culmination of an investigation that started last February.

The Taylorville Police started investigating Tobin when he was still living in that community for alleged possession and distribution of child pornography.

A court-authorized search warrant for Tobin was issued on September 8, but by then, he had moved to Springfield. On Thursday, the warrant was executed in Springfield.
