If this is a COLD hard slap from Karma, I don’t know what is.

Dateline Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada….in November when it is already REALLY, REALLY cold out.

Now that we have that established, a 32-year-old would-be robber broke into a local business there a little after 10 pm and stole their cash register. Cops were right on him, so the guy decided he would jump into the Assiniboine river to make his escape. He actually tried to walk on the ice but ultimately fell through.

Despite the fact the river was freezing, this guy refused to give up … for about 30 minutes. Rather than freeze to death, he allowed the paramedics to pull him in and take him to the hospital.

Turns out his chilly dip really didn’t hurt him all that much, so he was handed over to the police. And after all that, our would-be-robber found out his precious register was…. COMPLETELY EMPTY. All he has to show for all of his efforts are charges of breaking and entering and theft.
