New COVID-19 Testing Site Opens In Springfield

SIU’s new COVID-19 testing site opens today (9/8) at the Abundant Faith Christian Center, located at 2525 Taylor Ave.

The new testing site hours are 9 to 11 am and 1 to 4 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. On Friday, SIU will host mobile testing 9 to 11 am and 1 to 4 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. On Fridays, SIU will host mobile testing at a variety of different congregations around the area beginning at 9 am most days.

For September, the mobile testing is scheduled to be at

· Sept 11 - Calvary Baptist Church, 2208 E. Kansas St.

· Sept 18 - Union Baptist Church, 1405 E. Monroe St

· Sept 25 - Progressive Church of God in Christ, 1625 E. Ash St.
