Pana Man Arrested on Gun Charges

Taylorville police attempted to stop 18-year-old Jagur Battles of Pana for a traffic stop. Instead, they ended up in a short foot chase that resulted in the arrest of Battles and the recovery of a loaded .45 caliber handgun.

Battles is currently in custody facing charges of unlawful use of a weapon and no valid FOID card. Taylorville police have not ruled at the possibility of additional charges at this time.
