Sangamon County Reports 27 New COVID-19 Cases and 1 Death

After reporting only 7 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, Sangamon County is back into the double digits on Tuesday with 27 new confirmed cases and one new fatality.

A woman in her 80s died on Tuesday. She tested positive for the virus on July 28.

As of 3 pm Tuesday afternoon, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 in Sangamon County stands at 1,526, with 37 total deaths.
