Sangamon County Reports More Deaths From COVID-19

An 80-year-old woman who had tested positive for COVID-19 on August 9, died Thursday at Memorial Medical.

This was the second day in a row the county has reported a coronavirus fatality. An 84-year-old woman died Wednesday at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

On Thursday, Sangamon County Department of Public Health reported 30 new COVID-19 cases, with 9 hospitalizations and 36 deaths from the disease. The total number of infected in the county is now at 1,381.
