Sangamon County Reports Second Highest Daily Total Of COVID-19 Cases On Thursday

At 46 new COVID-19 cases, yesterday (Thursday, Aug 6) was the second highest daily total of positive cases in Sangamon County since the pandemic began. That brings grand total in the country to 1,161.

However, the news isn't all terrible. The positivity rate in Sangamon County is currently a little over five-percent and that is down slightly from where it was when it peaked a week ago.
