Sangamon County Reports Two More Deaths From COVID-19

According to the Sangamon County Department of Public Health, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 90s have become the latest fatalities in Sangamon County from the COVID pandemic. The number of deaths now stands at 42 for the county.

SCDPH also reported 24 new positives on Tuesday (3 confirmed new cases on Monday and 21 confirmed new cases on Tuesday). 19 patients currently require hospitalization, and the total number of positive cases in Sangamon County stands at 2,040.
