Sangamon County’s Death Toll From COVID-19 Climbs to 44

Sangamon County Department of Public Health (SCDPH) is reporting a woman in her 60s who tested positive for COVID-19 on August 26th has died from the virus. She is the 44th person to die from Covid in the county.

SCDPH is also reporting 32 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 (14 news cases on Saturday and 18 new cases on Sunday). The new cases bring the county total to 2,146 confirmed incidences of the disease in the county with 11 hospitalizations and 425 people in isolation.
