Shooting at Dirksen and Clear Lake Leaves One Man Injured

Springfield Police are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting was between two passing vehicles at Dirksen Parkway and Clear Lake Ave., and the 24-year-old victim was a passenger one of the vehicles. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and he was taken to HSHS St john’s Hospital.

No other details are currently available.
