Suspect In North 9th Street Shooting Remains At Large

Springfield Police are investigating an incident in the 1700 block of North 9th Street around 5 pm Tuesday. A suspect fired shots at people in a vehicle and then fled in a different one.

An initial call to SPD indicated three to five shots were fired, but other witnesses in the area said at least six shots were fired

No injuries have been reported in the shooting.

A maroon vehicle was found crashed into a fence at the corner of 9th and Woods and was later towed away. The suspect in the shooting remains at large.
