Sweet Basil Café To Take Over Vacant O’Charley’s Location

O’Charley’s, formerly located at 4241 Conestoga Drive in Prairie Crossing, closed its operations on March 24, 2019, after a little over 18 years in business. The building has sat empty ever since.

But now a new flavor is coming to Prairie Crossing- Sweet Basil Café. According to the company’s website, the chain currently has locations open in Skokie,on Old Orchard Rd., and in Peoria, on West Lake Ave, with plans to open additional restaurants in Riverwoods, Rockford, Forsythe, Champaign, and Glen Ellyn in addition to the Springfield location.

The family-owned and operated chain boasts an extensive menu for each of its locations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sweet Basil also provides a wide range of catering options as well.

The new Springfield location is scheduled to open this September
